Jana Wickham Paul is a Shareholder with the law firm of Hance & Wickham, P.C. where she practices exclusively family law. She received her Juris Doctorate from the S.M.U. School of Law and became licensed by the State Bar of Texas in 1994. At S.M.U. Mrs. Paul was a member of Phi Delta Phi and the S.M.U. Moot Court Board. Upon graduating, she practiced law in El Paso, Texas at El Paso Legal Assistance Society handling mainly family law matters for indigent clients. Then, she moved to San Diego, California to work at Hunter Industries as in-house counsel. Thereafter, she moved back to Dallas to work as in-house counsel at her family's business from 1997 to 1999. In 1999, she began practicing family law again, and in April 2000, she joined Larry Hance at his firm.
Mrs. Paul was admitted to the College of the State Bar of Texas in 2000. Jana became Board Certified in Family Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in 2009. She is a member of the American Bar Association, the State Bar of Texas Family Law Section and the Dallas Bar Association, Family Law Section, where she served on the Family Law Section Board as Treasurer, Secretary, and Vice Chair, and presently serves as Chair. She is a fellow of the Dallas Bar Foundation. She also participates on the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers, Domestic Violence Committee and is a member of the Dallas Women's Lawyers Association. She is past President and current member of Collaborative Law Dallas, a Collaborative Law practice group of Dallas family law attorneys. Outside of the practice of law, she is an active member of the Junior League of Dallas and the Dallas Museum of Art. Jana was selected as a "Rising Star" Lawyers Under 40 by Texas Monthly in 2004 and a Texas Monthly Super Lawyer in 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008. She was named as one of "Best Lawyers Under 40" by D Magazine in 2006.
